The electrical training ALLIANCE is pleased to announce the availability of a new trainer.   Over the last several months a console based on a Programmable Logic Relay (PLR) has been developed.   This system may seem familiar as you may remember seeing the prototype at NTI.

This system was put together to offer a basic programmable controller option complete with 10 initial labs to be used as a program may wish.   As time and development continues, it may become a key part of our education.   This system is not intended to replace current Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) training, only to supplement it in the classroom.  In fact, an update of the PLC training program is currently in progress.  A word of caution, PLR’s do not have the processing capability of a PLC and there are key functions only available in a PLC.  However, the simplicity of a PLR and the combination of free programming software, offers a great transition from conventional electro-mechanical control to digital control systems.  This simplicity also allows courses such as Instrumentation or Building Automation an ability to demonstrate some control concepts.

The trainer will arrive as a complete kit with all necessary components and hardware in order to be assembled by students as an initial lab.  The console is heavy duty clear anodized aluminum offering a clear acrylic bottom to allow viewing of components.  The system will offer spare provisions for additional devices to be mounted should a program wish.  Additionally, each console includes a temperature transmitter and thermocouple wire to create a temperature sensor and offer analog control.

The product is available as Item Code LUN100K in the bookstore for quantities of 5 or more at $799.00 Each and Item Code LUN100 for quantities less than 5 at $1099.00 Each. Orders placed by Feb 15, 2019 will ship in approximately 4-6 weeks.

Stay tuned for some upcoming webinars as well as another evening presentation at NTI involving this exciting new trainer!
