Effective December 1, 2026, the Assessments tool will no longer be used to create or administer tests.

All course exams are now created and administered through the Testing Platform and Process (TPP), the newer exam tool found within each course at the end of the lessons list. While the Assessments tool is being retired, your training center’s historical records are not going away. Every previously administered test, answer key, and report will remain available, and Training Directors and Training Director Assistants will have access to your center’s complete testing history.

What’s changing

    • Test Preparation and Administer Test options will be turned off.
        • No user (TD, TDA, or Instructor) can create, print, or administer new tests.
    • Previously Administered and Reporting will remain.
        • TDs and TDAs: The 365-day limit is removed. You can see all previous tests regardless of session or enrollment restrictions, making these tabs a complete archive of past tests.
        • Instructors: Your access is unchanged. You will continue to see tests as far back as the course, session, and time restrictions set by your administrators allow, up to 365 days.
        • All users: Both tabs keep full functionality, including Test Review, printing previously administered tests and keys, and all reporting.

What you will see

Dashboard

Test Preparation and Administer Test options no longer appear on either the Administrator or Instructor dashboard.

 

Previously Administered tests

Administrators will now see all previously administered tests, without the 365 day limit.

 

Instructors will only see previously administered tests within the time frame assigned by their administrator(s).

 

Reporting

Administrators can see the full history of tests for their Training Location.

 

Instructors will continue to have access to the reports their Training Location administrators have configured for them.

 

What you need to do

    • Instructors: Records will age out of your view over time. Print or save any tests, keys, or reports you want to keep before that happens. The Print Test Archive button on the Reporting tab can help.
    • TDs/TDAs: You can always retrieve anything an Instructor needs from the archive.
    • Everyone: Create and administer all new exams in the TPP.
