The Construction Drawings Textbook and Associated Course are Ready for Use

This next-generation course is designed to make print-reading skills more in line with current technologies. This new course replaces the existing Blueprint Reading for Electricians Textbook and its associated course. The electrical training ALLIANCE recommends that the online eBook reference be the primary source for students in place of the printed textbook. This online textbook is available on several platforms, including the web and Android and Apple apps. Each platform has its own requirements and compatibilities, but the web-based version is currently the most stable. The eBook enables students to have the best experience viewing large prints and detailed drawings. Although you can view large prints and detailed illustrations on a smaller device, more screen real estate is helpful in many cases. (more…)

Training Partner New Product Symposium Update

We are happy to announce that on January 31, 2022, you will see a new edition of the Training Partner New Product Symposium course in the PTSI Online Learning System (OLS). As we continue to work with existing and new Training Partners to support our JATCs, it became necessary to update the course. Summary

The Online Learning System has a scheduled maintenance outage.

Date: July 3rd, 2021 from 9am – 9pm Eastern.

Affected Systems: The Learning Management System (LMS) and Training Management System (TMS) will be offline during this time.

Detail: This outage is to apply updates and improvements to our enterprise system.  As the system has evolved, and continues to do so, this and other proactive procedures are applied to ensure that the foundation that our system relies on remains powerful, scalable, and secure.

Available Now! The electrical training ALLIANCE 2021 Planning Guide

The digital version of the 2021-2022 electrical training ALLIANCE Planning Guide is now available for download. The Guide will help with all of your planning needs for the upcoming school year.

The printed Planning Guide will be mailed out soon; however, you can access the digital copy now by navigating to the Members Area of the electrical training ALLIANCE website, logging in, and choosing Downloads on the left side of the screen. How awesome would it be to have all of your important documents and credentials that you have earned during your time as an apprentice, or as a journey-level worker, right at your fingertips? Suppose an immediate need arises with your contractor, and you are needed to work at a secure facility, but before you can go, your clearance information is needed. Will you have it readily available, or will you miss out? Harassment Prevention: Awareness and Responsibilities 2020

The original Harassment Prevention: Awareness and Responsibilities course was made available on the LMS back in May 2019. This course meets the requirements for training on this topic as defined by The Department of Labor (DOL). While federally, there is no current requirement for renewal training on the topic, many states and jurisdictions require yearly recertification or training. To support this, we have published a new 2020 edition of the course. (more…)
