Just after 3:15pm Eastern we saw the LMS Application begin to act unresponsive.  At the time relatively few users were on the system — Meaning there was not any kind of load based antagonist.  All support teams are actively engaged working to resolve the issue.  We are very sorry for the inconvenience this is causing.
