The electrical training ALLIANCE is proud to announce the latest interactive animation on the subject of “Box Layout”. Traditionally we have left acquiring the skill of associated with “laying out” the top of a panel for conduit entries, and their associated holes (or knockouts), to on-the-job experience. This did not always allow a “safe” (aka inexpensive) environment for an apprentice to do the math associated with this process and implement this math to the real world material. This new simulator allows the students the opportunity to practice (via 10 distinct applications) this skill in an environment which will not have any ill-effects if an error is made. (more…)
New Courses Released – January ’18
New courses have been made available over the last few days.
- Three courses added are a continuation of the new Code topic pathway specifically for those apprentices who started 1st year using the latest catalog (2017). The new courses are for that group’s 2nd year of Code training.
- The new Voice-Data-Video Systems Applications and Installation, Level I course was completed and made available.
- A new Code Calculations, Complete course was made available for use in training learners on NEC® related math for those outside the apprenticeship.

The Preparing for Leadership: Personal Qualities, Level I course is now available!

In 2017, the electrical training ALLIANCE announced that a new leadership course would be available on January 1, 2018. This course is now ready for your utilization. It is a product of our industry’s realization that it is no longer adequate for our Apprentices to be trained only in technical skills. Electronic Systems Labs added to AC & DC Theory
A recently completed project was to add the Electronic Systems Labs to the LMS — both the Student and Instructor Guide versions. They are located with the lessons where the labs are indicated for use. (more…)

2017 Catalog Headed to Print and Now Available by PDF
CLCS and Catalog PDF to be completed soon
The following message from our Customer Service Specialist – Mr. Steve Strickland, is a great update as to where we are in our process of delivering the current curriculum information.
“We are working to get the catalog posted on the website ASAP. The printed copy will be sent to all JATC’s as soon as it is completed. The bookstore and LMS have both been updated for the new school year.”

Instrumentation Blended Learning Update
The instrumentation curriculum has undergone a textbook revision, which resulted in the creation of the new Applied Science of Instrumentation textbook. Along with the new textbook, 3 Blended Learning courses, for use at both the journeyman and apprentice level, have been placed into the LMS.
Apprenticeship test generator exam questions and course credit allocation will be completed soon. Read on for descriptions of the 3 courses.
Blended Learning Course Content Update – 2017
Updates and additions for the 2017 Blended Learning curriculum and CLCS are nearing completion with many titles available now. Included in the new 2017 content are:
- Code courses are updated and available based on the 2017 NEC®
- NEC® Reference questions are being revised for use with the participant’s own keyboard
- Six topics where there were a large number of lessons and multiple test generator exams (example: DC Theory, Level I, 27 lessons and 4 section tests) have been realigned (or split) into single exam courses
- 2017, 1st year apprentices and instructors will see a title change for the Code content
