The Desktop Instrumentation Trainer kit was created to support each of our programs and our quest for hands-on training materials. This kit brings the main calibration concepts presented in the instrumentation training courses to a smaller, more cost-effective concept. Instrumentation Process trainers are still available andĀ supported; however, this option provides a great first step touchpoint for your student.
Lab Videos have also been produced and placed into the Instrumentation Module courses in various training-related locations. For instance, once a student has completed Mod 1 and is sitting in class, a suggestion would be to introduce them to an actual calibration using a loop indicator. Introducing the student to this calibration keeps them engaged with a hands-on activity after they have performed the self-study.
Additionally, instrumentation training requires the use of digital communication methods. These methods require a Fluke DPC 754, Rosemount 275, 375, 475 Communicators, or Emerson TREX handheld device. However, a USB modem has been made available to communicate with the equipment via a personal computer.
Please note that the intended use of these trainers is for educating and practicing concepts. Further equipment is required when becoming certified or hosting the hands-on exam.
