The electrical training ALLIANCE continues to create new courses for its Blended Learning System. Recently, Instrumentation – Module 1, Building a Foundation in Mathematics Level II w/ SW (w/o IG), and Motor Control Level III, were added to the existing list of courses. At this point, about 130 courses are available for students.
This course has been developed as an entry level course to the Instrumentation curriculum. The course serves a few roles to a prospective learner.
- Identifies the type of work that will be required within the field of study.
- Provides the student with the necessary pre-requisite information to be successful the first night of a formal class.
- Through the use of pre-test lessons, a learner with field instrumentation experience may be able to opt out of lessons by demonstrating the subject matter knowledge of each lesson.
Lessons must be completed in a specific order to advance through this course.
Now both levels of the Building a Foundation in Mathematics are on the system.
There are some important distinctions to note about both levels. Level I comes with the text. Be sure to purchase the calculator separately as it does not come with the course. While any calculator may be used, the text outlines the exact button push order when using the TI-30XIIS available in the bookstore. Level II comes with a Student Workbook. It is important to note that an Instructor Guide needs purchased for…well….the instructor.
Both courses come packed with excellent videos that explain in detail the math topics covered.
In addition, a new lesson on Basic Use of a Hacksaw was just added to the Klein Virtual Boot Camp.
There are only a few courses from the Inside curriculum that are not on the Blended Learning System. Please note we are working diligently to add these to our online curriculum:
- Instrumentation Lvl I
- Instrumentation Lvl II
- Photovoltaic Lvl I
- Photovoltaic Lvl II
- Security Systems Lvl I
- Security Systems Lvl II
- Structured Cabling Lvl I
